About QuickTools

Who runs this site

My name is Talha Ansari. I'm an independent developer, and I built QuickTools and run it myself — every tool on this site was designed, coded and tested by me. There's no company behind it, no team, and no investors: just one person who kept needing small, trustworthy utilities and got tired of what was already out there.

The frustration that started this project is specific. Most free tool sites make you create an account before you can count words. They upload your files to their servers to convert them. They surround the real buttons with fake "Download" ads and dark patterns. I wanted the opposite: tools that open instantly, ask for nothing, do one job well, and never touch your data. So I built them.

The principle behind every tool

QuickTools is built around one simple rule: your data should never have to leave your device to count words, convert a file or generate a password. Every tool is written in plain JavaScript and runs entirely in your browser. There is no backend, no database, and no account system. When you close the tab, your input is gone — nothing was ever sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it to.

This approach has practical benefits beyond privacy. The tools are fast, with results updating as you type and no network round-trips. They keep working offline once the page has loaded. And because there are no servers processing your input, the tools cost almost nothing to run — which is why every tool here is free, with no usage limits and no signup.

What the site covers

I focus on small, genuinely useful utilities that do one job well, in three groups:

Each tool page documents how to use it, where it falls short, and answers the questions people actually ask — including the honest limitations. If a tool can't do something, I'd rather tell you on the page than let you discover it by surprise. Every tool is also covered by an automated test suite that I run before each update, so the calculators keep giving the right answers as the site grows.

How the site is funded

QuickTools is free to use and will stay that way. The plan is to support the site with advertising shown around the tools — never by charging for features, selling data (there is nothing to sell; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what little information exists here), or limiting usage. If a tool ever needs a paid third-party service to work, I won't build it: the whole point is that everything here runs on your device, for free.
