Why QuickTools?

Most free online tools make you upload your text or files to a server, show you three pop-ups, and ask for an account before you get a result. QuickTools works the other way: every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser using plain JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no account to create. That makes the tools fast — results update as you type — and private by design, which matters when you are pasting drafts, cleaning data, or generating passwords.

The first batch covers everyday text jobs. Writers and students use the word counter to hit assignment limits and estimate reading time. Social media managers use the character counter to stay inside post and bio limits, including an exact UTF-8 byte count for systems that limit by bytes rather than characters. The case converter fixes headings and pasted text in one click, handling tricky cases like apostrophes in Title Case correctly ("don't" becomes "Don't", not "Don'T"). The text cleaner tidies up messy copied text — collapsing extra whitespace, removing blank or duplicate lines, and stripping HTML tags. And the password generator creates strong, random passwords using your browser's cryptographic random number generator, with an entropy readout so you can see exactly how strong each password is.

More tools are on the way: calculators and file utilities are in development. Every new tool follows the same rules — free forever, no signup, and everything processed on your device.

The second batch covers images and documents. The image resizer changes photo dimensions by pixels, percentage or longest side without stretching. The JPG to PNG converter switches images between JPG, PNG and WebP in batches. The image compressor shrinks files by quality — or to an exact target like 100KB, a trick most free tools skip. The HEIC to JPG converter handles iPhone photos with a decoder that runs entirely in your browser. The image to PDF converter bundles photos into one document, the PDF merger combines PDFs without uploading them, and the favicon generator builds a complete multi-size icon set from any image.

New in this batch: an extractive text summarizer that shortens articles and notes to their most important sentences — with an honest explanation of what frequency-based summarization can and can't do. Plus our first long-form guide: how to create a strong password, covering entropy, worked weak-vs-strong examples with crack-time estimates, and password manager advice. And a new guide answering what date is 90 days from today — with the day-counting convention, leap-year traps, and real use cases from due dates to visa day counts. Four more in-depth guides just landed: what lorem ipsum actually is and how designers use placeholder text, UUIDs and GUIDs explained (formats, versions, collision odds), true randomness vs pseudorandomness, and how to compare two texts and spot every difference.
